My Practice

Individual Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy provides individuals with a supportive space that encourages exploration and may facilitate change.  I believe it is an effective tool for strengthening self-understanding, self-acceptance, growth, and greater fulfillment in life.

I provide both short- and long-term psychotherapy based on the needs of the individual.  I practice as a generalist and have subspecialties in working with college and graduate students, as well as working with individuals experiencing major stressful events, such as grief and loss, trauma, or a medical condition.  A life event such as a trauma, relationship break-up, or medical diagnosis can have a profound effect on one’s life.  It can change us, impact how we relate to others, and affect our priorities, as well as shift our worldview or perspective on life.  I help people learn to cope more effectively with these experiences, even those that we cannot control, while working to integrate these experiences with their narrative so that they may become less distressing over time.
